Chigwell Riding Trust For Special Needs

Nativity 2025

Sunday afternoon ride in Chigwell Meadows

Chigwell Riding Trust was the first ever riding centre for people with special needs and has been established in Chigwell for over sixty years. Riding instruction is given to people of all ages and abilities.

As one of the leading specialised riding centres in the country Chigwell Riding Trust not only benefits people with special needs but also the entire community, giving opportunities for volunteering, school participation and practical experience for children and adults working with people and animals.

Visit from Chigwell School

We have been having pupils and teachers from Chigwell School visiting the stables at this time of the year for as long as I can remember. Chigwell School, our neighbours, have been supporting us for many years and have also been of great help with grazing our horses.

Please consider supporting us

The cost of providing riding lessons far exceeds the fees that we charge. The wonderful facilities that we have and the services that we provide, both to our riders and to the community have all been financed by the generosity of people just like you. Please help us to continue in these difficult times. Thank you.
